Dear Lincoln Families,
Just a reminder: We are going to Kiwanis Park Monday! We will eat at our regular lunchtime and then walk down. It's supposed to be very warm. Students should wear comfy clothes, walking shoes and bring a water bottle. It might be helpful to bring a small backpack to carry water. Also, they can bring sporting equipment. However, the skate park will be closed so not skateboards, please. Unfortunately, parents/adults will not be able to join us this year. We still have to follow Covid protocols. In addition, as a result of not being able to go to the Capital/Museum, our students will be able to watch a Zoom tour of the Capital. This will be on June 8th. Afterward, we will have a hot dog picnic. On Wednesday our class has earned a pizza party and movie! We have plenty of things to celebrate! We survived an entire school year of Covid protocols, every day of wearing a mask with face-to-face instruction which allowed our class to achieved and meet individual learning goals! We survived the testing season! They've earned a party!! We will also give our class awards at the pizza party to celebrate each student's individual talents! It's been a pleasure getting to know and build relationships with each student this year. I feel honored to have been a small part of your child's academic journey here at Lincoln. Thank you for all of your continued support this past year.
Special Notice: Devices with chargers needed to be turned in on Friday, June 4th. Thank you. Also, if students do not return chargers, families should be directed to the online payment system to pay for lost chargers. It can be accessed via the school's webpage (bottom left side of page) or via this link:
Considerations for this summer to maintain the learning from 4th grade:
Writing: Students can keep a journal or write stories about their summer experiences.
Math: Please continue to encourage your child to practice multiplication/division facts at home with flashcards, IXL, etc. for extra practice. Students can continue to practice IXL Diagnostic and now Khan Mappers.
