Dear Lincoln Families, Just a reminder: We are going to Kiwanis Park Monday! We will eat at our regular lunchtime and then walk down. It's supposed to be very warm. Students should wear comfy clothes, walking shoes and bring a water bottle. It might be helpful to bring a small backpack to carry water. Also, they can bring sporting equipment. However, the skate park will be closed so not skateboards, please. Unfortunately, parents/adults will not be able to join us this year. We still have to follow Covid protocols. In addition, as a result of not being able to go to the Capital/Museum, our students will be able to watch a Zoom tour of the Capital. This will be on June 8th. Afterward, we will have a hot dog picnic. On Wednesday our class has earned a pizza party and movie! We have plenty of things to celebrate! We survived an entire school year of Covid protocols, every day of wearing a mask with face-to-face instruction which allowed our class to achieved and meet individual lear

Here's what is happening this next week: Just an FYI:  The testing window of NWEA and M-Step has slowed some lessons down over the last couple of weeks. Testing does interrupt our schedule. This is why some things on the agenda below have been there for a bit. I just wanted to clarify:) Thanks for your understanding! Reading: Students will finish the year in a Book Club. Each student has been given a chapter book to dig deeper into a conversation using key details, vocabulary, special passages with figurative language, and writing summaries. Writing: Students will be working on writing poetry. We will be working on writing Haiku and Parts of Speech poetry. At Author's Chair, students will continue presenting their Powtoons and poetry when finished. Math: I posted in GC review videos for essential standards. These should help with any extra practice in school and at home. At WINN time I will reteach and review for those students who need it as well as extend learning

Hello Lincoln Families, Happy Mother's Day! Each student made a little something for you along with a poem. Be sure to ask them about it:)  Thank you so much for the wonderful notes, flowers, and gifts this week for Teacher Appreciation! It truly warmed my heart with the outpouring of kindness. Our PTO absolutely spoiled our staff each day with fantastic treats and gifts as well! I feel so fortunate and blessed to work for such an amazing school and community:) M-Step testing will begin this week on Monday, May 10 in reading and math. We will test in the morning. Thank you for making appointments in the afternoon!  It's extremely helpful.   Remember students are encouraged to wear their P2 t-shirt on Monday. Have a fantastic week!
